PEORIA, AZ (AP) -
Peoria school district teachers will soon be learning what they can and can't wear in the classroom.
The Arizona Republic reports the Peoria Unified School District governing board wants to put in place a policy covering everything from footwear to how much skin a blouse or skirt should expose.
Current district policy requires that staff attire be professional, but there's no dress code to offer a further definition.
District officials say the proposal is aimed at setting clear expectations of employees while avoiding awkward confrontations for principals in enforcing dress codes.
