PD: Phoenix man shot in chest

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A 48-year-old man was shot in the chest at a Phoenix apartment complex early Tuesday.

A Phoenix Fire Department spokesman said the man was taken to a trauma center, but his condition was not known.

According to Phoenix police, two suspects broke into the victim's apartment near Interstate 17 and Ocotillo Road shortly after 7 a.m., demanded items and shot the man.

No arrests had been made.

No other information was immediately available.
