PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The man charged with the murders of a Paradise Valley couple refused to attend his scheduled arraignment Tuesday.

Maricopa County Superior Court Commissioner Brian Rees ordered Michael Crane to be transported by MCSO to his next court date Feb. 27 "by any reasonable means necessary."

Crane, 31, is facing several charges, including-first degree murder and arson, for the deaths of Valley philanthropists Lawrence and Glenna Shapiro.

Crane is also facing murder charges for the death of cigar shop owner Bruce Gaudet.

Gaudet was found dead a few days earlier just a few miles away.

The Shapiros' bodies were found inside their burning home in January.

Along with Crane, five others have also been charged in connection with the murder.

Two of them - Brittnay Beinhauer and Kelly Steward - pleaded not guilty Tuesday. Their next court date is April 2 before Commissioner Steven Lynch.

They face charges including theft, trafficking in stolen property and hindering prosecution in connection with both cases.
