PHOENIX (CBS5/CBS) -
More than 200 tattoo artists, vendors and body piercers are at the Arizona State Fairgrounds this weekend for a tattoo convention.
"Tattoos are as interesting as the people getting them," said Baba, owner of Vintage Tattoo in Los Angeles.
He has inked everyone from rock stars to nursery school teachers. He'll be the first to tell you tattoos aren't taboo.
"More than 80 percent of Presidents have been tattooed," he said. "All secret society members have been tattooed. It's been a sign of royalty forever."
More than 250 artists from South Africa to Switzerland got a piece of the action. But if you're like most people, looking for something a little more discreet, Baba's got you covered.
"I'm bringing someone's dream into reality," Baba said. "And you're reporting on that reality. It's like we're holding hands."
In addition to tattoos and body piercing, there will also be live human suspension demonstrations.
The convention runs through Sunday.
