GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
Dozens of pro-life demonstrators protested outside Planned Parenthood in Glendale this afternoon.
They're calling for the passage of the Whole Woman's Heath Funding Priority Act. The bill would stop any taxpayer funding to a business that provides abortion services.
"Our position today is that one dollar to Planned Parenthood for any type of health service frees up another dollar to subsidize their abortion business. Taxpayers do not want their tax dollars going to an industry that takes the life of pre-born children and hurts their mothers," says Cathi Herrod from The Center for AZ Policy.
Planned Parenthood provides reproductive health care, education, and information to nearly five million women, men, and adolescents worldwide every year.
