PCH gets 'treat' donation from Halloween store

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix Children's Hospital got a boost from a store specializing in scary costumes.

Representatives from Spirit Halloween Stores dropped by to deliver a check for $53,000 to help purchase books, games, toys, computers and more for the hospital's Child Life Department.

This special department helps children cope with the fear, anxiety and separation that comes with being hospitalized.

Spirit, the nation's largest seasonal retail store, has been donating to children's hospitals across the country since 2007, collecting over $7 million. About $230,000 has been raised for PCH in that time.
