PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A cold case has been solved more than three decades after the crime.
Police linked Manuel Corona to the stabbing death of John Bryant.
It happened in 1978.
Through the use of DNA technology that wasn't available back then, detectives matched evidence from the murder to Corona.
"This means a whole lot to my family and I. This is a promise they made to my mother-in-law before she passed away in 1999 that they would not let this drop, and they would find out who killed dad," shared the victim's daughter-in-law Mrs. Bryant.
Corona, 71, is currently serving time in the Arizona Department of Corrections for unrelated charges.
