PHOENIX (CBS5) -
If things looked a little different at the Sky Harbor Airport today, no need to worry - it was only a test.
Today, Sky Harbor employees participated in an emergency preparedness drill.
This is what it looked like on the south side of the airport. There were lots of emergency vehicles, equipment and people pretending to be injured in a plane crash.
"We've got responders from all over the Valley testing their procedures to ensure that we've got a high level of emergency preparedness," shared Alisa Smith with Sky Harbor.
Federal government officials require airports like Sky Harbor to conduct full-scale drills like this one every three years.
