PHOENIX (CBS5) -

With a determination fueled by grief and a need for justice Pamela Coss is an unstoppable force. She walks along a West Valley neighborhood passing out fliers, they are a plea for help to find her son's killer.

"From what we understand it was a drive by and he was just in the backyard with his friends and the gun shots came in and he was hit in the head," said Coss.

Fabian Cano, 19, was at a house party near 79th Avenue just south of Camelback Road when the shooting happened. Now his mother is scouring the neighborhood in hopes someone there knows or even saw something.

"I want family, his friends, somebody to come forward to say something. I want this person to know what he took away from us he took someone so special in such a senseless dumb act," said Coss.

Friends and family members who were at the same party have joined Coss, hoping with more people searching for answers something will be found.

"We want justice for Fabian all of his family he was very much loved," said Coss.

The shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. Jan. 8 near 79th avenue and Clayton Drive. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
