Police say a domestic violence call turned into a pot bust in Dolan Springs.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 14800 block of Eureka Drive. When they arrived, they found a 56-year-old woman who told them Michael Wayne Warnock had become angry and started throwing things at her. Deputies saw trash and other items on the floor. They then found that 60-year-old Warnock had an outstanding warrant and took him into custody.
While there, the deputies smelled what they thought was marijuana. That's when they found two large marijuana plants. Narcotics detectives were called out and a warrant was issued. In total, detectives found up to 17 marijuana plants, as well as four smoking devices and a bag with six grams of pot.
Detectives say Warnock confessed to owning the plants. He was booked in the Mohave County Jail.
