Weekend program aims to help homeless and at-risk veterans

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

More than 1,000 homeless and at-risk vets are getting some much needed help this weekend.

It's all part of the 2012 Arizona Standdown.

The three day event is being held at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum and is offering vets a chance to get back on their feet.

It's giving them access to state offices, medical clinics, haircuts and pet services.
