A beloved Arizona Supreme Court justice was laid to rest today.
Justice Michael Ryan was remembered today at a funeral service at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Phoenix.
For almost two and a half decades, Ryan put on the robe as a Superior Court and Appellate judge and then as a state Supreme Court justice.
Ryan also served in the Marines receiving two purple hearts and a bronze start during a tour in Vietnam.
Today, flags were set at half staff throughout the state in memory of Ryan.
The Marine Corps has also set up a scholarship fund in his name.
Ryan's body will be buried Arlington National Cemetery.
