Arrest made in string of armed robberies

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

A 49-year-old man has been arrested in Mesa in connection to 11 armed robberies in the east Valley.

Mesa Police said James Sloan admitted to the robberies, which happened in Mesa, Tempe, Chandler and Phoenix.

Sloan was arrested Wednesday for four counts of armed robbery and two counts of attempted armed robbery for the Mesa crimes. He faces additional charges in each of the other three cities where the crimes happened.
