PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A man is fighting for his life after an accident at a popular trampoline park, according to Phoenix Fire Officials.

It happened Thursday at the newly opened SKYPARK Indoor Trampoline Park in Arcadia.

Investigators said a 30-year-old man went headfirst into a foam pit and hit his head, which could have caused significant brain and spinal cord damage.

Captain Scott Walker with the Phoenix Fire Department said the man had no pulse and was not breathing when emergency crews arrived Thursday evening.

Walker said the man is on life support at a local hospital.

"I know they have these places basically across the Valley and at this point they have not been an issue. We have not seen a trend of injuries occurring so this just seems like a very unfortunate situation," said Walker.

CBS 5 News did reach out the owner of SKYPARK, they had no comment.
