Group launches campaign opposing guns on campus

The Maricopa Community College Faculty Association launched a campaign to block concealed-carry gun legislation on Arizona college and university campuses.

The Faculty Association's campaign is aimed at defeating Senate Bill 1474 which allows anyone with a valid Arizona permit to carry a weapon on college and university campuses.

The proposed legislation requires secure gun lockers and clearly posted signs to be placed at building entrances.
