Arrest made in 2008 Phoenix murder

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

An arrest has been made in the 2008 stabbing death of Lonnie Raines.

Police said the 51-year-old Raines was killed in a vacant field near 4030 S. 17th Street over a drug debt.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson with the Phoenix Police Department said new information led them to identify 57-year-old Larry Walters as the suspect.

Walters was arrested Wednesday on murder charges. Police said they found narcotics at the time of his arrest and he faces drug charges as well.
