Phoenix Open
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
Phil Mickelson and defending champion Mark Wilson top the field for the Phoenix Open this week at TPC Scottsdale.
Mickelson, the former Arizona State star who missed the cut at Torrey Pines, won in 1996 and 2005.
Wilson, coming off a victory in the Humana Challenge, won last year in a Monday finish, beating Jason Dufner on the second hole of a playoff in the frost-delayed tournament.
Dustin Johnson, Webb Simpson, FedEx Cup champion Bill Haas, PGA champion Keegan Bradley, Nick Watney, Ian Poulter, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler and Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III also are in the field along with past champions Mark Calcavecchia (1989, 1992 and 2001), Vijay Singh (1995 and 2003), J.B. Holmes (2006 and 2008), Aaron Baddeley (2007) and Kenny Perry (2009).
