PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A Mexican man wanted in Delaware on assault charges has been arrested at Sky Harbor International Airport.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to the airport stopped 27-year-old Ivan Dominguez-Guerrero in the jet way Monday as he was boarding a flight to Guadalajara and immediately took him into custody.
During a routine records check done by CBP officers, they found Dominguez-Guerrero was wanted in Delaware on charges of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and appeared to be fleeing the country.
Dominguez was turned over to the custody of the Phoenix Police Department pending extradition for the warrant from Delaware State Police.
