A 40-year-old man is in unstable condition in the hospital after he was hurt working on high voltage power lines Friday.
Apache Junction Fire District Deputy Fire Chief David Montgomery said the victim, who is employed by Salt River Project, got an electric shock while working east of Gold Canyon.
Workers reported that the power to the power lines had been disconnected but the lines may have been back-fed from another source that wasn't disconnected.
Montgomery said the man had life-threatening injuries.
