Spirit Airlines handing out free tickets

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

Airline tickets don't come cheap these days.

That's why some people were so happy today even as they faced long lines.

They won 20,000 free bonus miles from Spirit Airlines which is enough for a flight to Vegas.

The airline is giving away 10 million miles in Arizona this week to celebrate the start of its new service from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

There is another ticket giveaway Friday at Fiesta Mall in the Center Court at noon but supplies are limited.

Fiesta Mall is located at 1445 West Southern Avenue in Mesa.

Lines were long Thursday so people interested in getting their hands on some tickets may want to arrive early.
