Hidden camera helps deputies nab burglar

ASH FORK, AZ (CBS5) -

An Ash Fork robber tried to hide his identity by stealing security cameras after stealing a truck but he missed one.

From the images on that camera, detectives with Yuma County Sheriff's Office were able to identify 26-year-old Zachary Weatherbee in the August crime.

In December, when Weatherbee learned he was linked to the thefts, he returned the truck and stolen tools to the victim's home.

Detective tracked Weatherbee to the Sedona area where he was arrested on Jan. 10, and booked for charges including burglary and theft.

He is currently out on a $5,000 bond.
