LOS ANGELES (CBS5) -

The boy suspected in a robbery and double murder at a Peoria smoke shop arrived back in the Valley on Friday night.

Tyson Langley, 15, faces two counts of first-degree murder. He remained totally silent as police escorted him out of the car in handcuffs and into the station. Wearing shorts and a T-shirt, Langley had no expression on his face and walked quickly into the juvenile processing center at Peoria Police headquarters.

"It was a quiet ride," said Peoria police spokesman Jay Davies. "Obviously, they couldn't question him."

Peoria police say that Langley allegedly shot to death 60-year-old Kenneth Matlock and 38-year-old Melinda Bowen on Tuesday and then shot 51-year-old Robert Troutman, who had a non-life-threatening hip wound.

Police say Langley stole Matlock's car, abandoned it at a Phoenix Walgreens and hopped on a Greyhound bus bound for the LA area. Phoenix officers then sent a bulletin to agencies in California.

Los Angeles police say after seeing the bulletin Thursday morning, officers recalled the boy sleeping in downtown Los Angeles the night before. They returned to the spot Thursday and found him again sleeping.

"Tyson did not fight extradition," Davies said.

Court paperwork released early Thursday evening described how the shootings unfolded.

Langley entered the Euphorium Emporium at 10140 W. Lake Pleasant Parkway at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, armed with a .40 caliber handgun, the probable cause statement said. Langley pointed the gun at the store owner and demanded money, the document stated.

While in the process of robbing the business, Bowen entered the store, police said. The store owner tried to warn her about the armed suspect, but Bowen did not understand and walked into the store anyway, officers said.

The owner ran out the door and was able to escape. Troutman then entered the store. Bowen warned him and he fled, police said. Court documents said Langley fired a shot, striking Bowen in the back of the head, killing her.

Langley then left the store and shot Troutman as he was trying to escape, hitting him in the right hip, the probable cause statement said. Troutman hid behind some bushes, police said.

The third victim, Matlock, entered the store, and Langley shot him in the head, killing him, court documents said.

During the robbery, Langley took about $300 from the register and a Taurus 40 caliber handgun from the store owner Brent Brown, documents stated.

Langley stole Matlock's 2004 Dodge Dakota pickup truck after he killed him, and it appears that he may have taken cash from Kenneth's wallet as well, court documents said.

Langley's parents contacted Phoenix police and reported him as a runaway juvenile.

Court documents also reveal detectives received a call from a man who told them he met Langley in the Walgreen's parking lot after the shootings and Langley asked him for a cigarette.

The caller told police that Langley was acting nervous and when he asked him why, Langley told him that someone had tried to carjack him, documents said.

Langley has a history with law enforcement. He was arrested in 2008 on theft charges, according to Maricopa County Juvenile Court records, but was never formally charged. Police records show that Langley pulled a Mercedes emblem off a car and he was put on a diversion program.

"This is bittersweet this is a very violent violent, a very heinous crime," Davies said. "At the same time we've got a 15-year-old suspect that I think we're all shocked to see."

As two families mourn the loss of their loved ones, the Langley family expresses their sympathy in a statement posted to the front door of their Phoenix home. It read, "We have been completely devastated as a family by the events that have transpired over the past few days. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of the smoke shop shooting. Please respect our privacy as a family as we have no comments at this time beyond the statement. Sincerely, the Langley family."

From the Peoria station, Langley went to the 4th Avenue jail. He faces murder, aggravated assault, and armed robbery charges. The county attorney tells us he will be charged as an adult.
