PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Seven valley chefs competed in Scottsdale Wednesday for the title of top pancake maker.
It's called Pancake Quest 2012.
The local chef showdown took place at the Perk Eatery at 65th Street and Greenway Parkway.
The proud winner was 24 Carrots with their vegan pancakes.
The score was based on taste, texture, originality and execution.
The money raised at the event goes towards Share Our Strength which is an organization that feeds hungry kids in Arizona.
