PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Valley man is in big trouble for allegedly pretending to be a big name athlete.

According to a federal indictment, 25-year-old Bradford Stephenson hacked into Nike's system and went shopping for a profit.

He's a former college baseball player from Virginia who apparently wanted to live like a pro.

According to the indictment, Stephenson hacked into Nike's accounts for at least 11 sponsored athletes.

Documents show he knew Nike credited accounts so sponsored athletes could order merchandise without charge.

Stephenson admitted to stealing from Nike from October 2010 to February 2011, a five month time period where he allegedly racked up more than $80,000 in gear.

The indictment showed he'd order the stuff on those sponsored athletes accounts and have it shipped to addresses in several states including Arizona, where he lives part time.

He allegedly gave some of the stuff to family and friends and sold some of it on eBay.

Stephenson is in the middle of trying to strike a plea deal on this case.

He pleaded guilty to one count of computer fraud.

Stephenson faces up to five years in prison.
