PHOENIX (CBS5) -
The Phoenix Suns opened the lockout-shortened regular season at the U.S. Airways Center Monday night with what figured to be an easy game -- hosting the New Orleans Hornets minus Chris Paul.
It started better than it ended.
Phoenix Suns players made their way through the stands during introductions, maybe trying to mend the lockout bitterness with fans.
Even though the Suns led through much of the game, they couldn't close it out. The final was 85-84 Hornets.
They host Philly Wednesday.
