It's been eight months since a Valley man was gunned down in broad daylight in the area of 17th Avenue and Ocotillo Road just south of Glendale Avenue.
The victim, 29-year-old Danny Mitchell, was with his brother when four black men came up to them and tried to rob them. Police say when the brothers fought back, one suspect started shooting around 5:30 in the afternoon on April 27, killing Mitchell.
One of the suspects had shoulder-length dreadlocks and a dollar bill tattoo. Police said he is 24-26 years old, 5'8" and 200 pounds.
The three other suspects, all in their mid-20s are described as:
- 5'8", 185 pounds, dark-skinned and armed with a gun.
- 5'10", 215 pounds, dark-skinned wearing a do-rag.
- 5'8", 200 pounds, light-skinned, short black hair and a goatee.
The suspect who shot Mitchell, escaped in Mitchell's Dodge Stratus.
Other fugitives sought
Police are also looking for Elton Jardines, wanted in connection with a double homicide and two counts of aggravated assault. He is described as 24 years old, 5'6" and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
There's also a warrant out for the arrest of 30-year-old Leo Landon for probation violation on an original charge of burglary. He is described as 5'11" and 185 pounds, with blond hair and brown eyes. He also has tattoos of a cross on his left hand, an "l" on his left forearm and dots on his fingers.
