The Valley housing market is showing signs of improving, according to numbers from Realtor.com.
The median list price for a home in the Phoenix-Mesa area in October was $157,675. That's up more than five percent from September. The national median price is $189,900.
The number of homes listed for sale has dropped dramatically. There were 19,407 homes for sale in October, down nearly 48 percent from October 2010.
Homes in the Valley are also selling much faster than the national average. The typical home stays on the market for 62 days in the Phoenix-Mesa area, compared to 110 days nationwide.
The Valley was the sixth most-searched market in the country on Realtor.com in October.
