The trial of man accused of being the so-called Baseline Killer is now in a jury's hands.
Defense attorneys for 47-year-old Mark Goudeau made their closing arguments Tuesday, followed by a rebuttal from prosecutors.
They argued the state did not make a convincing case. Goudeau's attorney Randall Craig questioned police work and DNA evidence and says no murder weapon has been found.
Prosecutors call Goudeau a predator with an appetite to rape, control and kill women he knew and men who got in his way. They say whether the defense likes it or not, DNA and evidence point to Goudeau.
Goudeau faces more than 70 felony counts, including nine counts of first-degree murder.
If jurors find him guilty of any one of the nine murders, he could face the death penalty.
