GILBERT, AZ (CBS5) -
At least two people were severely injured and nine others shaken up after a violent collision in front of Higley High School on Wednesday afternoon, according to a Gilbert Fire Department spokesman.
Helicopter news footage showed a silver pickup truck on top of the hood of a white pickup at 4068 E. Pecos Road in Gilbert as part of what appeared to be a chain reaction collision involving a total of four vehicles.
Nine of the 11 patients refused treatment at the scene for minor injuries, but two were more severely injured and might need to be transported to a local hospital, according to Mike Connor of the Gilbert Fire Department.
Connor said he believed all the patients were students.
