Police say a man is dead after being hit by a pickup truck in Scottsdale that fled the scene overnight.
The victim was identified Sunday afternoon as Daniel Pollack, 31, of Scottsdale.
Scottsdale police spokesman Officer David Pubins said Pollack was standing in the median lane of Hayden Road north of Thomas Road about 1:30 am. He was not in the crosswalk.
Witnesses tell police that's when a silver colored pickup truck driving southbound hit Pollack, then continued through the intersection without stopping, said Pubins.
The man was taken to a hospital where he died, said Pubins.
The police are looking for the vehicle involved described as a silver pickup truck, possibly a Chevy Silverado.
