The best place to see tattoos in the Valley this weekend wasn't in Tempe, or Old Town Scottsdale - it was at one of the fanciest resorts in Phoenix.
The Arizona Biltmore looked more like Venice Beach as it hosted the Hell City Tattoo Festival, an annual event featuring workshops and competitions.
"It's one of those things, you either like it or you don't like it. I was always interested as a kid, seeing people with them, didn't really get anything until I was probably in my early 20s, and then when I got one. It's kind of like anything, you think its cool, so you just kind of keep going," said Don Patton, one of the festival attendees.
Also in the crowd were some of the best tattoo artists in the country, and the world's most tattooed man, who goes by the name Lucky Diamond Rich.
"The connection to the artist and then seeing the result on my skin and then feeling that somehow feeling that I'm not the person I was before that, I don't know I was kind of attracted to that," said Rich.
