MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

We are following a developing story out of the east valley.

The Mesa Police Department has just been involved in a shooting in the area of Ellsworth and Southern. 

Sgt. Ed Wessing told CBS 5 News that no officers were hurt in the incident.

No other details on what happened are available at this time.

CBS 5 has crews on the scene and will update this story as soon as we learn more.
