Valley company claims to have solution to copper thefts

We've told you how copper thefts in air conditioning units are becoming a costly problem for many Valley residents. Now a local company says they have the solution.

The Copper Locker Unit Shield is a steel cage that forms a protective barrier around the air conditioning unit.

"If you are going to replace a unit that has been destroyed, it's anywhere from $1,800 to $25,000, just for the condenser unit itself," said David Wells of Reddi Services.

A Copper Locker unit shield will run you around $500 dollars depending on the size.
