Patrick Trejo, Keith Kiefer
A former music teacher has been sentenced in connection with a Valley bestiality case.
Patrick Trejo, 25, was sentenced Wednesday to one year of supervised probation on one misdemeanor count.
Trejo also lost his teaching job at Raul H. Castro Middle School in Phoenix. He is in the process of completing court mandated counseling. He also attended a class regarding dangerous behaviors, according to the court.
Trejo and 47-year-old Keith D. Kiefer were arrested in the case in February. Kiefer, a Mesa handyman, was sentenced in June to two years of supervised probation.
Authorities said the men used the Internet to connect with dog owners who offered their animals for sex acts. The two men didn't know each other, but each had arranged to meet at a hotel with a dog owner and a dog when they were apprehended before any sex act could occur.
The undercover investigation was launched by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in December 2010.
