PHOENIX (CBS5/AP) -

A Phoenix man has been sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison for breaking into a home on July 3 and crawling into bed with a 14-year-old girl.

Jacob Nelson, 34, was also sentenced to three years probation.

Nelson pleaded guilty to criminal trespassing charges in the case.

Officers arrested Nelson after they said he broke into a family's apartment near 14th Avenue and Van Buren Street. Police said he entered through an open back door and, wearing only his underwear, climbed into bed with the teen. The girl woke up and started screaming, waking the rest of her family.

Officers said Nelson ran out of the apartment, but was found a short time later.
