5 Charged In Hells Angels Vs. Vagos Gunfight 8-25-2010
Five men are in custody after a biker gang-related shootout that rocked Chino Valley on Saturday.
Police said they arrested 27 people and five were injured after the shooting between rival biker gangs along Yuma Drive just after noon. Police said one of the homes involved was being used by Hells Angels members while another was where Vagos motorcycle club gang members gathered.
Those in custody include John Anthony Bernard, 44, Kiley Steve Hill, 39, Robert Edward Kittredge, 36, Bruce Andrew Schweigert, Sr., 46, and Larry Dean Scott, Jr., 47.
The two motorcycle gangs sprayed each other with at least 50 rounds of bullets after a confrontation at a private residence, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
Each of the suspects is facing charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, endangerment and participating in a criminal street gang. The suspects are being held in the Yavapai County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond each. Investigators say they are still trying to determine motives and any gang affiliation of everyone involved in the shootout.
