PHOENIX -- Phoenix Mercury star Diana Taurasi was arrested early Thursday morning on suspicion of drunken driving, police said.Taurasi was pulled over near Seventh Avenue and Camelback Road at about 2:30 a.m., said Officer Luis Samudio of the Phoenix Police Department.Police said they stopped the black SUV after they observed Taurasi speeding and not staying in one lane.A series of field sobriety tests was conducted at the scene, Samudio said. "Ms. Taurasi was transported to a Phoenix police mobile DUI van where a sample of her blood was obtained," he said. That sample will be submitted to determine her blood alcohol content, Samudio said.Taurasi was issued citations and she was released to friends, he said.Taurasi, a guard, scored 22 points and blocked four shots in Wednesday night's 93-81 win over the Storm. She is the WNBA's leading fan vote-getter ahead of the league's July 25 All-Star game.
