CBS 5, Make A Difference Team Up To Support Power Of 5

PHOENIX -- KPHO CBS 5 and Make A Difference have joined together to support the 'CBS 5 Fulton Homes Power of 5' initiative.Started in 2004 by CBS 5 to promote community involvement, the 'CBS 5 Fulton Homes Power of 5' program promotes volunteer opportunities at nonprofit organizations with quarterly on-air phone banks."I am pleased that we are joining forces with Make A Difference," said Steven D. Hammel, Vice President and General Manager for CBS 5. "They are local leaders in the world of volunteerism and we look forward to our viewers and non-profit organizations benefiting from Make A Difference’s experience and vast community network."Make A Difference, a nonprofit focused on providing volunteer services to the Valley, will serve as a resource to CBS 5 and those who call in to help out. With partnerships with 300+ nonprofit organizations, schools, neighborhoods and government offices, the organization is well-versed on the volunteer needs of the community.
