MESA, Ariz. -- The Maricopa County Board of Elections has released unofficial results from Mesa's Nov. 4 Special Election.Mesa voters were asked to vote on three items. Two questions were aimed at authorizing public safety and transportation bond packages and Proposition 400 to allow interior inspections on rental properties.Unofficial results with 98 percent (146 of 148) precincts reporting follow:Prop 400: Rental inspections
YES: 92,980 or 78.73 percent.
NO: 25,115 or 21.27 percent.Question 1: Public Safety
FOR: 76,640 or 66.9 percent.
AGAINST: 37,923 or 33.1 percent.Question 2: Transportation
FOR: 70,151 or 64.71 percent.
AGAINST: 38,263 or 35.29 percent."I'd like to thank the Mesa voters for choosing to invest in our community by passing both bond questions," said Mesa Mayor Scott Smith. "We appreciate the trust and confidence they show in their local government and the city is committed to using these funds in the most efficient way possible."
