A New York native, Chris Coraggio has called the Valley home since 1979. Before joining CBS 5 News in 1998, Chris worked in Mobile, Ala., and Grand Junction, Colo. While in Mobile, Chris was named Sports Reporter of the Year in 1995 and 1996.

Chris graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Also a graduate of Shadow Mountain High School in Phoenix, Chris played baseball with pitcher Curt Schilling.

Andre House is among the charities with which Chris is involved.
