PHOENIX -- A real CSI mystery is unfolding in the West Valley after a woman's body was found in a south Phoenix Canal.Investigators spent Wednesday afternoon combing for clues. They're looking for anything from a shoe imprint, a piece of clothing, hair follicle, anything that will help them catch a killer.Phoenix police arrived on the scene near 47th Avenue and Roosevelt Street around 11 a.m. Wednesday.According to police, two men searching for scrap metal spotted the body stuffed in a storm drain. The area was immediately taped off with crime tape.It is an extremely remote area with nothing but agriculture and industrial buildings nearby.Police are now turning to the public for help."If anyone was in the area and did see anything unusual, we want to hear from them," said Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson. "Maybe it was as simple as a vehicle driving out in the middle of nowhere and someone has information they could give to us."People with any information about this case are asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
