A Phoenix woman accused of leading a high speed chase through north Phoenix last Thursday night has been booked into jail.

Georgia Lynn Baker, 43, was released from a hospital Sunday evening and was booked into Maricopa County Jail on charges of first-degree murder of a law-enforcement agent, endangerment, unlawful flight from law enforcement, aggressive assault and unlawful use of a means of transportation.

Baker was attacked by a police dog after attempting to evade police. She was taken to a Phoenix hospital for treatment.

Baker was allegedly behind the wheel of a stolen SUV that DPS was attempting to stop along the westbound Loop 101 freeway.

During the chase, Officer Chris Marano, 28, was hit by a DPS cruiser as he was putting out stop sticks. Marano died early Friday morning.

Funeral services for Marano are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Church of the Valley in Peoria.
