Police seized more than 50 marijuana plants found growing inside a Surprise home. Officers were called to the home on Hope Street just after midnight for a domestic violence situation.

While at the home, officers say they saw several marijuana plants in a bedroom. Detectives served a search warrant at the home and they found more than 50 plants in various stages of growth, with lighting and a temperature control system.

Christopher Petruzzelli, 38, was arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on suspicion of production of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic violence charges.
