PEORIA, Ariz. -- The Peoria Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man who robbed a CVS Pharmacy in Peoria, and Silent Witness is offering a $2,000 reward in the case.According to police, a man carrying a black binder containing a large knife displayed the weapon at the CVS Pharmacy located at 8332 West Thunderbird Road and demanded prescription medicines at about 7:10 p.m. on Sunday.The man was caught on surveillance video before he fled out the front door with an undetermined amount of medication. Police released an image from the video in the hopes that someone would recognize the man.Police described the robber as a white man about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing between 170 and 180 pounds with brown hair. Police said he is estimated to be in his mid- to late 30s.During the robbery, the man wore a blue, hooded sweatshirt with "Disneyland" across the front and tan cargo pants, police said.Police also said they believe he may be responsible for other robberies in the area.Silent Witness is offering a $2,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this robbery or the culprit described is asked to call the Silent Witness 24-hour tip line at 480-Witness (480-948-6377)."It's important for people to know that all information that we get is kept completely confidential," said Detective Icela Brown, a Silent Witness representative. "Callers never have to give their name. The Silent Witness tip line does not use any tape recording or caller ID devices."The reward money was donated by Purdue Pharma, a pharmaceutical company, working in collaboration with RxPatrol to enforce and analyze pharmacy theft.Related Information:
