Police: 'Fused Bandit' Arrested

PHOENIX -- Police have arrested the man they believe is the "Fused Bandit" who committed at least 16 robberies in a one-month period, authorities said.Phoenix Police Department spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump said investigators conducted interviews, showed photo lineups and served search warrants for the case over the last week.He is identified as Gregory Elzy, police said.The armed robber earned his name when he first started robbing auto parts stores and would ask the clerk for a box of automobile fuses before pulling a gun.Police said it's a technique he used at least 16 times in the past month to rob stores ranging from auto parts facilities to fast food restaurants and even dry cleaners.
