Crews Battle Apartment Fire

PHOENIX -- An investigation is under way after an early morning apartment fire in east Phoenix.A two story apartment complex caught fire early Monday. Firefighters encountered heavy flames and called for reinforcements at the two story complex at 29th Street and Osborn Road.Capt. Dorian Jackson of the Phoenix Fire Department said crews managed to keep the flames from reaching the attic. Fire crews managed to keep the fire contained to one apartment.Residents said they saw flames shooting out of the back of one apartment.All residents of the complex are safe.
