3 Killed In Phoenix Car-Pickup Crash

Three people died Friday night after a pickup truck struck their vehicle broadside on a Phoenix street, police said.

The victims are identified as Alonso Medina, 19; Silvano Martinez-Gomez, 25, and Eder Rosas.

The crash happened around 8 p.m. on 19th Avenue south of Dunlap Avenue when a small sedan pulled out from an apartment complex directly in front of the oncoming truck.

Police said three people in the car were killed and a fourth was seriously injured. The driver of the truck received minor injuries.

The crash is under investigation. Alcohol was not a contributing factor, said Officer Luis Samudio.
