PHOENIX -- A Phoenix police officer who pointed a finger at a fellow cop for alleged misconduct had to leave his office Friday.CBS 5 News reported Wednesday that there was a "bust" that didn't happen.According to a memo sent by Sgt. Philip Roberts, a co-worker delayed arresting a suspect who had 60 hand grenades for sale, because she wanted another Lieutenant, Lauri Burgett, to get the credit.CBS 5 learned that Sgt. Roberts was moved to permanent patrol position Friday.Mark Spencer with the Phoenix Police Union said that the transfer was made to get back at Roberts for speaking out."This clearly smacks of and looks like retaliation," said Spencer. "What we see here is a policy that says report misconduct, but in reality, if you report it you'll get whacked with some form of retaliation.A Phoenix police representative said Friday that Sgt. Roberts requested to be transferred and the move is temporary.
