PHOENIX -- An Arizona State University student was arrested in the early morning of Oct. 28 after he allegedly fired at police with an Airsoft rifle, authorities said.According to a representative of the Tempe Police Department, officers arrived at a check-cashing business by Southern and Mill avenues and found Sean Sexton, 21, shooting at and shattering the building's windows.Sexton fired several shots at the officers, who realized he was firing an air rifle and did not return fire, police said. Nobody was injured in the incident.Officers said they did not know why he shot at the business; however, they speculated that he may have had a vendetta against it.He was booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated assault and felony criminal damage.Police estimated it could cost more than $15,000 to repair the building.
