GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Glendale police are trying to solve a deadly mystery. They want to know how a body ended up in a Dumpster at the Fountain Place Apartments.

Police said a resident at the complex discovered the body at about 2 p.m. while taking out their trash.

Police would not reveal the age or sex of the victim. Officers said they did not know how the person died.

Residents were frightened by the discovery.

"It’s really sad, " resident Sharon Rockwell said. "That’s somebody’s family member thrown in the trash ... so it just kind of scared everybody and made everybody kind of sad."

"Stuff happens every day. It’s a little close to home. It’s pretty crazy," said resident James Gray.
